Founded in 2020 by 20-year-old Hannah, The Scented Barn is a multi-award-winning home fragrance company. Hannah handcrafts every product in her converted barn-turned-workshop, launching with just six wax melt scents during lockdown. Her business quickly gained recognition, with customers praising the quality and fragrance.

Within a year, Vogue featured her products, and the range expanded to include candles, diffusers, home mists, essential oils, and handmade Jesmonite décor. In 2023, she achieved her dream of opening a fragrance store in Holt, Norfolk—an interactive space where customers can explore scents firsthand.

The Scented Barn has won multiple awards, including “Best Lifestyle Store in Norfolk” (2023 & 2024) and Theo Paphitis’ Small Business Award. Now, just four years in, Hannah has reached her biggest milestone—relocating to Holt’s High Street in a store four times the size of the original. The expansion allows for a broader product selection and supports seven other small businesses, reinforcing her commitment to high-quality, handmade goods.

Despite rapid growth, Hannah remains dedicated to small-batch production, valuing personal connections with her customers. “The secret to success is believing, dreaming big, and never stopping,” she says.
