The Bittern Line connects the city of Norwich to the coastal town of Sheringham. The route passes through the scenic Norfolk Broads before reaching the stunning north Norfolk coast, designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The line takes its name from the bittern, a rare and elusive bird that inhabits the region's reedy wetlands.
