Cromer RNLI Annual Lifeboat Day
About Cromer RNLI Annual Lifeboat Day
The free event, starting at 10am, offers an insight into the work of its volunteers.
Visitors can tour both lifeboat stations and see the D class and Tamar class lifeboats.
A variety of stalls will line the promenade from 10am.
A commemorative service of thanksgiving is scheduled for 2pm at the inshore lifeboat station.
Visitors will have the opportunity to meet the volunteer crew and learn about the other rescue services in Cromer, including RNLI lifeguards, HM Coastguard and Coastwatch.
Children can meet the RNLI's mascot, Stormy Stan, dress up in crew outfits, and visit the fundraising guild's stalls for treasure hunts, cakes and more.
John Redmond, Cromer RNLI Lifeboat Operations Manager, said: "Lifeboat Day gives our local community and visitors a fantastic opportunity to find out more about the lifesaving work of our volunteers, the lifeguards and our emergency services colleagues."
